Usui/Holy Fire®︎ III World Peace Reiki Master Class (Advanced)
At least 6 months prior to the class date, you need to complete the Beginner Class (Usui Reiki Level I & II) in the Usui Reiki lineage.

Stay at a traditional Japanese inn at the foot of Mt. Kurama and enjoy exquisite Kaiseki cuisine — included with all three classes held at Mt. Kurama.
If you’re just starting your Reiki journey, completing all three levels usually takes at least one year.
While the actual class time adds up to just 8 days (whether at our Kyoto center or online via Zoom), the recommended time between levels:
Already trained in Reiki? Many of our students have completed previous training with other schools and are now looking to reconnect, refresh, or go deeper.
You can:
If you have received Reiki Master Teacher training (not practitioner level) in the Usui Reiki lineage, you may take any of our training levels without needing the standard 6-month integration time between classes. Please contact us directly to confirm whether you meet all the requirements for the class you're interested in.
If you're travelling to Japan, you don’t need to stay for the entire year to complete all three levels
of Reiki training. We offer flexible pathways to support your journey:
If you trained with Healing Land Reiki over Zoom and would like to repeat your class in person in Japan, you are welcome to retake any levels of your class at our Reiki center in Kyoto (or repeat it over Zoom) at a discounted rate.
Note: Mt.Kurama special retreat style class doesn’t apply for the discount rate.
Many students choose to begin their training online and travel later. Because we include intentional waiting periods between levels, starting Reiki I & II now (via Zoom) means you may already be eligible to take your Master training in person by the time you visit Japan—without delaying your journey. Once you’ve completed your training with Healing Land Reiki—online or in person—you’re always welcome to retake any class at a special reduced rate, often around 30% of the standard tuition, depending on the class and location.
We are primarily based in Kyoto, where most of our in-person training programs are held.
As a second location, we also offer training in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, in the northeast of Japan. However, the majority of our programs — especially English-speaking classes — are conducted at our Kyoto center.
In addition, we host special retreat-style trainings at Mt. Kurama, the birthplace of Usui Reiki, twice a year.
Online classes are available worldwide via live Zoom.
The required time depends on the level you are taking:
• Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki I & II – 2 full consecutive days
• Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master – 3 full days
• Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master – 3 full days
If you are completely new to Reiki, we require a 6-month integration period between each level.
Although the total class time adds up to just 8 days, completing all three levels typically takes at least one year, allowing time for proper energetic integration and personal practice between levels.
If you have already completed Reiki Master (Teacher level) training within the Usui Reiki lineage, you may be eligible to take levels back-to-back without the standard 6-month integration period.
Please contact us directly so we can confirm your eligibility.
All levels of our Reiki training are typically held from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Each training day includes approximately 8 hours of structured learning, practice, and discussion. Our focus is on providing a strong foundation and a deeper understanding of how to apply Reiki in your daily life and, if applicable, in professional practice.
Because of the depth and intensity of the training, we recommend keeping your schedule clear on class days. Combining sightseeing or other tourist activities on the same day may be difficult.
Please note that teaching styles vary among Reiki instructors. Some schools may offer shorter class hours. Our approach emphasizes comprehensive, full-day training to ensure proper integration and understanding.
This is one of the most common questions we receive from students planning their visit, and we encourage you to plan accordingly.
Training in Japan can deepen your understanding of Reiki in meaningful ways.
By learning in the country where Reiki was founded, you are able to experience the cultural and historical context that shaped important figures such as Mikao Usui and Chujiro Hayashi. Being immersed in this environment allows you to better understand the Reiki ideals within their original cultural setting.
Students also have the opportunity to visit significant historical locations, including Mt. Kurama, where Usui Sensei is said to have meditated for 21 days before receiving Reiki. You may also visit his birthplace in Taniai Village, Gifu Prefecture, and other places connected to Reiki’s early history.
Spending time in Japan — engaging with the culture, traditions, and daily life — can provide deeper insight into Japanese Reiki techniques and philosophy.
Many of our students have shared that after training in Japan, they gained a renewed appreciation for their practice and a stronger connection to their Reiki journey.
